Lifey update
Jul. 23rd, 2010 07:33 pmThe weather's been so hot lately that it's hard to find the motivation to do anything, let alone anything useful and productive. The humidity just makes me wilt, and all I want to do all day is stare at a wall and not worry about doing anything. Even reading's hard to do when I feel like this!
We had a thunderstorm the other night, which did help to clear the air some. There was a lightning strike that knocked power out for half the city, and the windows rattled, but go figure, I slept through pretty much the whole thing and only found out this stuff the following morning. I sometimes think I could sleep through an earthquake!
I joined a new ACEO site a few days ago, which will hopefully inspire and motivate me to do more drawing. Of course, I suppose I could do some fibre arts cards too, but I need more practice with drawing.
Spent some spare moments today watching episodes of 1 Litre no Namida on AZNV. I haven't gone through all that site has to offer yet, but it seems like it'll be one I visit a lot for good shows. So much to watch, so little time.
Sent out about 10 resumes to various companies yesterday. Fingers crossed that I hear back from some of them, and crossed again for actually being hired! There's no way to properly describe how tight money is right now, how much I owe Rei, and how much Rei's gone into debt to keep us from having nowhere to live and no food to eat. I owe him so much right now and money's only the beginning of it.
