Apr. 11th, 2010 10:00 amRei and I spent last night puppy-sitting for L and J, Rei's brother and sister-in-law. They went out to visit friends, and since Charsey (the puppy) is only around 9 weeks old, they didn't want him left alone in the apartment for almost 8 hours.
Normally I wouldn't have bothered to accompany Rei on such a task, but since L and J's two sons were out of the house (one visiting his biological jerk of a father, and the other tagging along with L and J), I didn't have to worry about spending the evening pretending to care about whatever the children were babbling about. I don't get along well with children, and I don't like to pretend otherwise.
So the evening was spent keeping a wiggly purebred golden retriever puppy entertained, which wasn't too difficult nor too onerous. I'd rather deal with puppies over children any day.
Rei and I decided to torture ourselves for an hour and a half by watching Dragonball: Evolution. Fortunately, I didn't watch it with any expectations, so I can't say I was disappointed. The most fun we had was in making fun of it, and one of the best things I can say about it is that it wasn't as terrible as Twilight.
