Things that cheese me off, part 2:
Apr. 25th, 2010 04:53 pm1. People assuming that my time is their time, and thus expect me to spend my day next to the phone and with my email open, on the off-chance that they try to contact me.
1b. People who don't understand that my life revolves around more than their needs, wants, and timetables.
2. Wanting to say something but knowing that so many things will fall apart if I do.
3. The assumption that everybody has the time and money to get a university degree as proof that they know proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
4. Having the urge to write, and then upon opening up a blank Word file, you can't figure out what the heck to say.
5. Job ads that aren't clear about what their requirements are.
Conversely, things that make me happy:
1. A clear sky on a warm day, and enjoying a nice walk to the grocery store.
2. Finding a website that offers lots of lessons for low prices, one that's worth looking into when I get a job again.
3. Finding a compelling book series that I don't want to stop reading.
4. Having lots of anime to watch.
5. Inventing the word "nerbalist", a combination of "herbalist" and "nerd."
6. Icons featuring geeky in-jokes.
