Things that cheese me off:
Apr. 3rd, 2010 07:16 pm1. People who prefer one thing bashing people who prefer another thing and acting like their side is better when it's really all just a matter of personal choice.
2. Adults who try to micromanage the lives of other adults, unsoliticed, by treating them like children.
3. Hypocritical advice. If you're going to advise me to do something, I tend to take that advice much more easily if, when I've advised you of the very same thing, you haven't completely ignored that advice and shot it down for my frivolous reasons than I gave.
4. People who stubbornly present a single viewpoint or premise getting angry that people don't understand that they have different opinions. (Ex. "I don't want to eat anything but cheese pizza, since I really like it and no other kind could possibly compare, and besides that we can't get access to anything but cheese pizza right now so there's no point in talking about anything else." Later, after deciding not to buy pizza at all because the store only has pepperoni... "God, why is it that people always ignore the fact that I'm willing to eat pepperoni pizza?! It's like they don't even bother listening to me or asking my opinion!")
5. Hypocrisy in general, really, but at the moment, the hypocrisy of liars accusing me of lying, and thieves accusing me of stealing.
6. Being treated like I'm nothing more than an amusing convenience.
7. Those who accuse me of always viewing and remembering events negatively being actively discouraging of my attempts to improve my life.
Yes, it's a ranty day. Overall, today has sucked. This past week has sucked. The only things keeping me sane right now are the times I get to spend alone and immersed in books or anime, and a steady supply of tea. And my cats. But they keep me sane on a much more regular basis. The alone time is a better treatment for accute attacks of Sucky Life Syndrome.
I'm going to log off before I start sounding emo and going on about how nobody understand me.
