Yeah, that one irked me, too, especially since we had just had a similar experience a few days ago. We went to Target, which is in a huge shopping centre, and it was just completely designed with the idea that everyone who wants to go there will go there in a car. There is, of course, a short sidewalk right in front of the entrance, but there are no sidewalks to get from outside the shopping centre to the front door. You have to walk up the drive where the cars are coming in and out and there really is not much room at all on the sides, especially since many people are turning right when they go in/out and are thus right up near the edge. It's dangerous, not funny, and most large stores like that are the same. Absolutely not designed with pedestrians in mind.
